Mr. Sebelius was spot on in his assessment that it is time to legalize the use of marijuana for adults 21 years older and allow possession up to one ounce for all uses including recreation.

Las Vegas Sun, 15 Mar 2013 – CARSON CITY – Assemblyman Joe Hogan, D-Las Vegas, said his measure to legalize marijuana possession will be introduced in the Assembly on Friday, making Nevada the sixth state to consider decriminalizing pot. "We’ve wasted a tremendous amount of money spoiling teen-agers lives, chasing them around until we can arrest them for something," Hogan said. "And marijuana is not just a harmless plant. The medical benefits are remarkable."

Lahontan Valley News, 25 Feb 2013 – Nevada isn’t meeting the intent of a constitutional amendment allowing medical marijuana because there isn’t a legal way for patients to get the drug, members of the Senate Judiciary Committee were told Friday. In Nevada, a patient suffering from chronic conditions such as glaucoma, multiple sclerosis or others can get a doctor’s certificate qualifying them to register and use marijuana to relieve their symptoms.
