Westword, 09 May 2013 – Dear Stoner: I recently started using medical marijuana to control the nausea that comes with Crohn’s disease. It works better than any of the old drugs I used to use; is it doing something different? J.H.
US CO: LTE: Questioning Motives Behind Pot Collective’s Pitch
Denver Post, 09 May 2013 – Re: "Testing limits of pot laws," May 5 news story. What a noble experiment to provide assistance to those who want a free "dab" of heated, concentrated marijuana for "charitable, scientific and educational purposes." Sounds almost too good to be true. And offering to "deliver six packs of cannabis-infused beer, cookies and bud bags" only to those "who display personal responsibility with the highest moral standards" should put to rest any fears that the public has about the recreational marijuana business being devious, greedy or not following the letter and spirit of Amendment 64.
US CO: LTE: Should City Of Aurora Get In The Marijuana
Denver Post, 08 May 2013 – Re: "Having a hand in the pot," May 4 news story. Regarding Aurora wanting to run its own marijuana operation, since when does a government get involved in selling marijuana? This seems just ludicrous to me. Could you imagine living in a city where they have a director of marijuana establishments?

US CO: Column: Ask A Stoner
Westword, 02 May 2013 – Dear Stoner: What are these "clones" I see advertised? Are people really cloning marijuana plants like that sheep in Scotland? Dolly Lama Dear Dolly: We’re actually amassing an army of tiny clone warriors, not unlike in Star Wars – only we’re doing it with cannabis plants. The whole peaceful-revolution thing isn’t working out, and we’ve collectively watched a lot of Empire Strikes Back – so it just made sense. Actually, that’s not far from the truth.[Mind is blown!]
US CO: Taxing Marijuana Proves to Be a Sticking Point in
Albuquerque Journal, 30 Apr 2013 – DENVER (AP) – Marijuana as a potential tax bonanza has Colorado lawmakers wrestling with a question both sides say they don’t know how to answer: How much will people pay for legal weed? The state House advanced a taxing measure Monday to levy a pot tax in excess of 25 percent, a reduction from the 30 percent rate lawmakers considered last week.
US CO: LTE: Working Out The Details Of Legalized Marijuana
Denver Post, 01 May 2013 – Re: "Could bill send pot up in smoke?" April 27 news story. Why is Colorado even considering a tax on marijuana when, under federal law, it is still illegal to use it? Can you really tax something that is illegal under federal law? Couldn’t the federal authorities still come and forfeit any and all assets for these marijuana violations even if sanctioned by the state? Would anyone passing such laws allowing marijuana use be prosecuted, money forfeited, assets held?
