Flint Journal, 21 Sep 2010 – FLINT TOWNSHIP, Michigan — Flint Township could be close to banning businesses that profit from the growth or sale of medical marijuana approved by state law. The township’s planning commission has passed an amendment to the township’s zoning rules which requires all "uses or businesses seeking approval or permits from the township must comply with federal, state and local law," according to documents provided to the township’s board of trustees at their meeting Monday.

The Kalamazoo City Commission voted 5-0 Monday night to adopt zoning ordinance language that outlines where wind turbines may be placed and special rules that apply to models that are free-standing and those that are mounted on buildings.

Rockford Independent, 21 Sep 2010 – Plainfield Township is in "wait and see mode" when it comes to addressing planning and zoning issues presented by the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act (MMMA), said Community Development Director Bill Fisher. "Communities are waiting on a statewide basis for judges to make some clarifications on the law," Fisher said.
