Metro Times, 27 Mar 2013 – The Stone-Cold Truth I got a good bit of reaction to my last piece on cannabis and cancer, so I want follow up on it before moving on to other subjects. Obviously, many folks out there are suffering and seeking relief, but I don’t want to peddle false hope; there is already too much of that going on. However, if you already have a death sentence hanging over your head then you pretty much have nothing to lose.

Northern Express, 18 Mar 2013 – We pride ourselves on how we take care of the sick in this country. We have the best hospitals in the world, as well as the finest doctors. You would think that America totally supports people getting better with whatever resources are available. But wait just one minute. If you choose to medicate with cannabis, (aka: marijuana), not only are you NOT supported by most of the medical industry (which won’t treat you if you have THC in your system), but you may find yourself in a jail cell for growing and using it. Not only that, but you’re technically driving under the influence every time you get behind the wheel of a car as the active ingredients in cannabis stay in your system for months.

Grand Rapids Press, 18 Mar 2013 – Alcohol or Marijuana? Isn’t it ironic that in spite of the will of the voter’s, the city of Grand Rapid’s will spend so much time & money fighting to keep marijuana from becoming legal, yet support the sale of alcohol at every chance. And so I ask you, which is safer, marijuana or alcohol?

The Herald-Palladium, 10 Mar 2013 – Over the past year, Howard Wooldridge’s job has gotten easier. The former Lansing area police officer spent the past 16 years working to decriminalize marijuana and other drugs, at times taking his horse on long rides around the country to publicize the cause.
