The Record, 03 Jan 2013 – To the editor: Drug related deaths are at the highest level ever recorded in America. In fact, for the first time in American history, the average citizen is now more likely to die from a drug overdose than from a car crash. Those of us who remember headlines from the heroin-plagued 70’s or crack-crazed 80’s, may not be as aware of the present day suffering attributed to drug use.
